Here's the Scoop so far. . .
  • AS OF 3/18 5:00 PM WE HAVE ABOUT 40 STUDENTS SIGNED UP TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT ON SATURDAY. THIS REPRESENTS 7 SCHOOLS (INCLUDING OUR OWN).
  • Subway will sell us hoagies at a reduced price. Mrs. Ciocco is in charge of this item.
  • Robin (Joanna's mother) has volunteered to be our Parent Hostess for the tournament. If you have questions for her, please email at rowagner@gettysburg.edu
  • To confirm: student lunches include hoagie of choice (ham, turkey, veg), bag of chips, and fruit pizza. Drinks will be available for purchase.
  • To confirm: judges' lunches include hoagie of choice, bag of chips, fruit pizza and soup.

Parent volunteers for soup items include: Ciocco/minestrone, Fetter/chili, Polk/Maryland crab, Kingsley/lentil bean
If you are inclined to make a crockpot of soup, please add it here.
  • Breakfast will also be supplied by the Speech and Debate club for judges and adults only.
  • The Fetters will also supply crackers and snacks. Dan Fetter is going to help sell tickets, set up for lunch, and help with the clean up at the end of the day.
  • Brian and Beth Polk checked on soda/water prices. We will be able to make a nice profit on these.
  • A question for the Fetters: Are the snacks you are supplying to be sold?
    • Yes, the snacks being brought by the Fetters are meant to be sold at the tournament during lunch. We will work out prices of the snacks tomorrow to be sure everyone agrees.
  • Does anyone have an extra ice chest or two? I have a large and a small/medium one but may need one or two more?
    • The Fetters will be able to supply one or two coolers for tomorrow.
  • I have researched soda/water prices at BJ's and came up with the following:
- Count per case/size Brand Price
36/12 oz. cans Pepsi $ 9.19
36/12 oz. cans Mountain Dew $ 9.19
36/12 oz. cans Scheppes Ginger Ale $ 8.49
36/12 oz. cans Dr. Pepper $ 9.49
32/12 oz. cans Sprite $ 8.99
32/12 oz. cans Coke $ 9.19
24/12 oz. cans Sunkist Orange $ 7.49
35/16.9 oz. bottles Deer Park Water $ 5.19
28/20 oz. bottles Deer Park Water $ 6.89

I was thinking the 35/16.9 oz. Deer Park water was the best buy. As for soda it appears to be Pepsi products due to quantity and price. I was thinking Pepsi, Mt. Dew and Sprite any thoughts?

We are still seeking a President and Secretary for the Parent Booster's club. Liz Fetter has agreed to be our Treasurer.
If you are curious or willing, please contact Mrs. Dandignac
for more information.
Hey Robin, Are you willing to be President of the Boosters?
